Intersectional Environmentalist

This book, written by Leah Thomas, is a fantastically thorough and urgently necessary introduction to intersectional environmentalism, an approach which serves both people and planet. In a movement which too often ignores the voices of people from vulnerable groups, this book expertly demonstrates that environmentalism cannot, and should not, continue that ignorance.

For anyone looking to examine or re-examine their perspective and place in the environmental movement, whether that be your privilege, your base of knowledge, or your ideas about what it means to be human during the climate crisis, this is a great way to get started on that journey. And for those who might already be there, IE has an excellent resource called the ‘toolkit’ that has additional materials to engage with from a diverse array of perspectives which I found incredibly useful, thorough, and insightful. 10/10 would recommend.
